One side of one end reinforced submarine hose connects the mainline submarine hose, the other side connects subsea PLEM or buoy manifold. The reinforced end should always be connected with the hard pipelines. It is marked with a white band. Collars for buoyancy are put on the hose body that is unreinforced.
