Dock hose, also known as ship to shore hose, is a kind of heavy-duty rubber hose that handles suction and discharge of petroleum based products and chemicals between marine terminals and vessels. It safely and efficiently transfer bulk hydrocarbon and petrochemicals from tankers, barges, or ships, to port facilities or storage tank on shore, or vice versa. As one type of cargo hose, DeepSee Dock Hoses can load and unload all kinds of oil and gas cargo, such as crude oil, fuel, LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), natural gas, etc. Among them, refined petroleum products like marine diesel, lubricating oil, bunker fuel, and heavy fuel oil, are the most common.
This hose is called bunkering hose when it is used for shore-to-ship refueling or discharging fuel from the ship, i.e., fuel transportation. Renowned for durability and flexibility, our dock hoses have been extensively employed in dockside operations over the years. They are trusted and chosen by worldwide marine engineers, port authorities, and terminal operators for bunkering service and diverse industrial applications.
DeepSee dock hose can be made into a number of lengths and sizes to satisfy the needs of different transfer requirements and dock systems. Inner diameter ranges from 6 inches to 24 inches (152-610 mm), adapting well to various flow rates and ensure secure connection with valves, couplings, pipelines, and manifolds. Hoses with an inner diameter of up to 12 inches can be manufactured in lengths of up to 50 meters, while larger sizes are available up to 12.2 meters. They perform reliably within a wide temperature range from -30℃~80℃. Besides, our dock hose is engineered with a 4:1 safety factor for a long service life under severe maritime and port conditions. Its excellent resistance to weathering, UV radiation, and abrasion further protects itself against harsh external environments. Each ship to shore hose is specially designed to offer outstanding flexibility, strength, and pressure resistance, with working pressure rated from 215 psi to 305 psi (15-21 bar). Specifications that aren’t mentioned above can be customized upon request.

Built with safe, smooth NBR lining, this dock hose is able to transfer petroleum products with less than 50% aromatics. Excellent resistance to oil, fuel, and chemical compositions prevents the rubber hose from degrading caused by the specific properties of conveyed substances. Our dock hose has a black, fabric-textured cover. It withstands oil, hydrocarbons, and sea water, and remains tough against weathering, ozone, and mechanical damage such as cuts, scuffs, and gouges. When the molecular weight is small, it's likely for gas to penetrate the rubber molecular structure, and it will lead to partial bulges. This won’t happen to DeepSee’s products, because our exclusive rubber formulation and hose construction protects dock hoses from such problems. This should be attributed to our R&D team, who continuously optimize material composition and structural design. It’s their advanced design concepts and rigorous testing process that shape ship-to-shore hoses with superior performance.

DeepSee provides high-quality EN 1765 (Type L, Type M, Type H, Type S) EN 1762 (NG & LPG) dock hoses.
Type L - Light-duty dock hose
Type M - Medium-duty dock hose
Type H - Heavy-duty dock hose
Type S - Suction and discharge dock hose
There is no dock hoses in stock. Just like other series of DeepSee marine hoses, our dock hose is a highly customized product. We design and manufacture every hose differently as terminal setups, transfer requirements, and hose parameters vary. In this case, please provide us with information as detailed as possible. This can speed up our quotation and save you time.
